Morandina Valpolicella Superiore Doc 2010, Organic Vineyards : Red Doc wine

 

Colour: Light ruby red in colour with fine structure.

 

Aroma: The vibrant fruitsand spiciness are held together by smooth tannins.

 

Taste: It has a very intense and persistent flavour, with hints of red and black fruit (plums, blackberries, blueberries, red and black currants), licorice, mint, orange, chocolate and nutmeg. This wine is dry, very warm, intense, soft, with good minerality and salinity which suggests the earth. It has notes of unobtrusive tannins and a clear structure. A harmonious wine ready to be enjoyed now or to remain a few years in the cellar and develop a clearer structure.

 

Gastronomic matches: It goes well with red meat (such as steak and venison), poultry, lamb and pork and pork sausage, medium-aged cheeses, cold cuts like ham, salami and mortadella.
