Colour: Intense ruby red with garnet tints.

 

Aroma: A well-pronounced perfume of dark fruit.

 

Taste: Rich and full-bodied.A dry, savoury and harmonic taste with a distinct finish of wild berries complex structure.Clean and creamy to taste, which does not obscure the dense.Balanced, offering lightly chewy tannins on the finish.

 

Gastronomic matches: Ripasso wines can be served with a number dishes such as risotto,excellent with porcini mushroom, and hearty pasta dishes. But they are at their best when paired with robust dishes involving roasted veal or lamb or braised or barbequed red meats like steak, sausage and game. Ripasso also goes well with aged cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano.
